Job Description

Chevington Animal Hospital has been in business for 30 years. The facility has three doctors on staff that specialize is small animal medicine. Here at Chevington, we see everything from annual wellness visits, spay/neuters, and surgical procedures for our established clients. We are looking for someone who is personable and a highly organized veterinary receptionists that is also capable with assisting in rooms and surgeries/procedures when needed, to join our compassionate team!

Duties include:

• Answering client calls, scheduling, and confirming appointments
• Greeting and guiding clients to exam rooms
• Managing medical records, charts, logging controlled drugs, and client correspondence
• Processing client payments
• Filling patient medications
• Performing diagnostic testing (including but not limited to running labwork, urinalysis, fecals, etc.)
• Assisting doctors with patient care (including, but not limited to drawing blood, placing catheters, taking x-rays, etc.)
• Assisting with patient monitoring during procedures/surgeries but not limited to: Ultrasounds, Dental procedures, spay/neuter, etc.
• Maintaining cleanliness of clinic and patients (including, but not limited to cleaning kennels, cleaning exam rooms, cleaning up after patients, etc.)
• Assisting with organizing and stocking medical supplies
• Cleaning surgical equipment and making surgical packs

Requirements:

• Previous administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Capacity to work effectively and with compassion during stressful situations.
• Ability to work on weekends as needed.
• Experience in Veterinary Technician responsibilities

HOURS OF OPERATION:

Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm

Saturday- 7:30am-12:00pm

Sunday- CLOSED

*This position will be PART-TIME until a third DVM is hired. *

*rotating Saturday shifts with a supplemental day off during the week when a Saturday is worked.*
