The Rotaract Club of JGND Bharatesh Degree College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Belagavi, is a vibrant student organization dedicated to leadership, professional development, and community service. Under the mentorship of Prof. Bharati Halasgi, the club actively engages in social outreach programs, youth empowerment initiatives, and skill-building activities, nurturing socially responsible and proactive citizens.

🕊️ About Rotaract – A Brief History

Rotaract is a global youth initiative of Rotary International, founded on March 13, 1968 in North Carolina, USA. Originally created as a Rotary-sponsored service club for young adults aged 18 and older, it quickly grew into a worldwide movement. The word Rotaract stands for “Rotary in Action“, reflecting its core mission of service above self and global fellowship.

Today, Rotaract boasts over 10,000 clubs in more than 180 countries, bringing together students and young professionals to exchange ideas, develop leadership skills, and take action to create lasting change in their communities and beyond.
